Re: Canon 6D mark ii. On-topic: there is some development activity for DIGIC 7 (click on the links). Emulation-wise, it's mostly identical to DIGIC 6, just dual-core. None of us has a DIGIC 7 model in their hands, so it's up to the owners of these models to jump in and start contributing.
The install procedure is a little more simple than the GH2 hack. Update to the latest Canon firmware then simply copy the Magic Lantern files to your SD card and go into the menus to select Firmware and proceed with the update. If you take the SD card out the camera returns to the default Canon firmware. Pretty simple really.
