Is Android 8.0 Still Supported. Android 8.0 (API 26) s no longer supported by as many devices as 8.1 (API 27). However, it is still supported by a percentage of devices. Is Android 4 Still Usable. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is the latest version of the Android operating system. It was first released on October 18, 2011.
Do note that there are still 8 months of active support left for the Pixel 4a (5G) and that shows it will continue to get updates until November 4, 2023. On the other hand, Pixel 4a just has six months left. This should explain why the 5G version will bag the update to Android 14. However, Google still hasn’t said anything about the 4G variant.
